-facing the shower when I have a choice..
- facing the shower when I do not have a choice - i.e. the bloody shower head is for short people around 5'1".. apposed to guys who are 6'4".. . curse those short people!

Ok first off i feel for the tall people.

Second If you face forward you dont get your ass clean, ewww, and if you face away you dont get your .... well you get the point so this is a step by step for those people that need it.

Step 1.
Adjust shower temp.
Step 2.
Climb into shower, be sure not to slip, and rotate getting your whold body wet.
Step 3A. (optional)
Brush teeth
Step 3B.(mandatory)
Step away from water and soap down entire body, including hair.
Step 4.
Step back into water and rinse soap off of body.
Step 5.
Turn off water and step out of show, again be carfull not to slip.
Step 6.
Dry off and shave if needed.

So the answer to your question is both.

k so first i rinse whatever i am going to be washing, be it the front or the back.. then i turn said part(s) away from the showerhead while scrubbing.. then i turn back when its time to rinse off the suds. so either direction has its use for sure. in closing, let's say 60% facing 40% turned away.

i'm 90% of the time away unless i'm rinsing out my hair or washing my face.

i'm STILL 90% away if there's someone in the shower with me. =P

away from the head, it's too short, and hot water relieves back pain.
